Softball Game Preview: Vinton Lions vs. East Beauregard Trojans

Vinton is preparing for their first district matchup of the season on Tuesday. They are taking a road trip to challenge the East Beauregard Trojans at 5:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.

Vinton is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Westlake with a sharp 15-7 win on Thursday. The Lions not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since April 12, 2024.

Meanwhile, East Beauregard had just enough and edged out Hornbeck 11-10 on Friday. The Trojans haven't had any issues with the Hornets recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

East Beauregard's win bumped their record up to 4-9. As for Vinton, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-9.

Vinton beat East Beauregard 5-2 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Will Vinton repeat their success, or does East Beauregard have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
