Basketball Recap: Warwick Comes Up Short

Warwick was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the New Rockford-Sheyenne Rockets, falling 73-53. If the Warriors were looking for revenge after losing 87-66 to them when the teams met back in February of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Despite the loss, Warwick still got an impressive performance from Elijah Feather Jr, who shot 6-for-9 from long range and almost dropped a double-double with 28 points and nine boards. The dominant performance also gave Feather Jr a new career-high in blocks (five). Anthony Touche Jr was another key player, going 5-for-12 to rack up 13 points.

Warwick now has a losing record of 8-9. As for New Rockford-Sheyenne, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 16-3.

Warwick didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 63-57 win against Drayton/Valley-Edinburg on the 20th. As for New Rockford-Sheyenne, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 59-50 victory against North Prairie co-op [Rolla/Rolette] on the 20th.
