Basketball Recap: Bishop McGuinness Takes a Loss

Bishop McGuinness lost against Glenpool back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Bishop McGuinness Fighting Irish took a blow against the Glenpool Warriors, falling 83-44. The Fighting Irish were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 49-14.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Glenpool to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tyra Mckinnie, who almost dropped a double-double on 22 points and nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Demoia Gater, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds.

Bishop McGuinness' loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Glenpool, their win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.

Bishop McGuinness will head out on the road to face off against North Rock Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Glenpool, they will host Coweta at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Coweta will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Glenpool surely won't give up without a fight.
