Basketball Recap: Box Elder Bees vs. Woods Cross Wildcats

Box Elder was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They took a hard 46-27 fall against the Woods Cross Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bees this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 57-48 back in January.

Several Bees players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Hannah Jeppsen, who posted seven points and six rebounds. That's the most boards Jeppsen has posted since back in November of 2024. Emma Nelson was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds.

Among those leading the charge was Kiyomi Tauataina, who went 5 for 9 en route to 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ili Crockett, who had four points and five steals.

Box Elder's loss dropped their record down to 1-17. As for Woods Cross, they pushed their record up to 12-6 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.
