Baseball Recap: Hope Christian Huskies vs. Del Norte Knights
Hope Christian played in-conference for the first time on Tuesday and got just the result they were looking for. They blew past the Del Norte Knights 13-2. The Huskies might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by six runs or more this season.
Avery Dearholt looked comfortable as he struck out nine batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Luciano Gabaldon was a standout: he scored two runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Hunter Solwick, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.
