Basketball Recap: Chenango Forks' Luck Changes for the Better on Friday

Chenango Forks had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They snuck past the Oneonta Yellowjackets with a 46-40 victory on Friday. The win was all the more spectacular given the Blue Devils' disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 574th, while the Yellowjackets are ranked 146th).

Chenango Forks' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sam Paske, who posted seven points and eight boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Vaseleck, who put up 11 points and seven rebounds.
