Trey Williford turned in yet another pitching appearance with more than six strikeouts on Tuesday. He struck out 12 batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and not a single walk), good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He is becoming a predictor of Farmville Central's success: when he posts at least eight strikeouts the team is 7-2 (and 4-6-1 when he doesn't).

Williford's strong effort led Farmville Central over North Pitt and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
