Softball Recap: Milton-Union Comes Up Short

Milton-Union fell victim to Shawnee and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Braves, falling 17-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 12-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2021.

Milton-Union saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maddie Entingh, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

This is the second loss in a row for Milton-Union and nudges their season record down to 10-16. As for Shawnee, their record now sits at 25-3.

Milton-Union does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Shawnee, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Versailles at 5:00 p.m. The Braves' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 7.5 runs per game this season.
