Basketball Game Preview: Forest Hill Falcons vs. Cardinal Newman Crusaders

Forest Hill is 0-6 against Cardinal Newman since December of 2017 but things could change on Wednesday. The Forest Hill Falcons will head out to face off against the Cardinal Newman Crusaders at 6:00 p.m. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Forest Hill is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Park Vista on Monday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Forest Hill was dealt a 53-13 defeat at the hands of Park Vista. The Falcons were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-8.

Meanwhile, Cardinal Newman ended up a good deal behind John Carroll Catholic on Tuesday and lost 51-36. The Crusaders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Forest Hill's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Cardinal Newman, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-11.

Forest Hill came up short against Cardinal Newman in their previous meeting back in January of 2020, falling 38-33. Can Forest Hill avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
