Baseball Game Preview: East Juniata Tigers vs. Upper Dauphin Area Trojans

East Juniata is 2-8 against Upper Dauphin Area since April of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. East Juniata will take on Upper Dauphin Area at 4:30 p.m. East Juniata will be strutting in after a victory while Upper Dauphin Area will be coming in after a loss.

East Juniata gave up the first runs on Monday, but they didn't let that get them down. They came out on top against Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy by a score of 14-10. Surprisingly, this marked the fourth straight game that the away team has come away the victor.

The team relied heavily on Owen Messimer, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three). Meyer Ramsey was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-4.

Meanwhile, Upper Dauphin Area fell victim to Tulpehocken and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They came up short against Tulpehocken, falling 11-0. Upper Dauphin Area has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Upper Dauphin Area's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for East Juniata, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
