Licking Heights snaps three-game streak of losses on the road

The Licking Heights Hornets's three-game losing streak came to an end on Tuesday. They snuck past Northridge with a 48-43 win. For Licking Heights, this counts as revenge for the 47-40 loss Northridge walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2023.

Despite the loss, Northridge saw an underclassman step up: Ava Travis scored 17 points along with seven rebounds. Travis has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last 11 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Naia Moore, who scored seven points along with five rebounds.

Licking Heights' win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-6. As for Northridge, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season.

Licking Heights will be playing at home against Zanesville at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Zanesville is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses. As for Northridge, they will head out on the road to face off against Johnstown-Monroe at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Johnstown-Monroe presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Northridge in Ohio (Johnstown-Monroe is ranked 197th, while Northridge is ranked 507th).
