Softball Game Preview: Liberty Falcons vs. McMinnville Grizzlies

Liberty is 0-8 against McMinnville since April of 2019 but things could change on Tuesday. The Falcons are taking a road trip to take on the Grizzlies at 5:00 p.m. Liberty has given up an average of 11.1 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Liberty is headed into Tuesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their ninth straight game on Friday. They came up short against McNary, falling 12-1.

Liberty saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sadie Caldwell, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run.

Meanwhile, McMinnville faced Glencoe in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Grizzlies lost 11-2 to the Crimson Tide. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Grizzlies have suffered since April 23, 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for McMinnville and nudges their season record down to 15-6. As for Liberty, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-14.

Liberty suffered a grim 28-2 defeat to McMinnville in their previous matchup back in April. Can the Falcons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
