Volleyball Recap: Sacramento Adventist Comes Up Short

Sacramento Adventist was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Buckingham Charter Knights, falling 3-0. The Capitals were not able to make up for their loss to the Knights from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-18, 25-19, 25-14.

Gwen Rosich paced Sacramento Adventist's offense, picking up three kills. Rosich got some help from Melody Rudge and her four assists. Rosich was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Buckingham Charter found their leader in sophomore Margrethe Lim, who had 16 assists and 11 aces. Another player making a difference was Justice Wright, who had eight kills, five aces, and one block.

Sacramento Adventist now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Buckingham Charter, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.

Sacramento Adventist has already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Faith Christian on the 18th. As for Buckingham Charter, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-1 victory against Valley Christian on the 18th.
