Collin Schulze commands the offense for a Warriors win

Recap: Norwich RVT Warriors vs. Grasso Tech Eagles

The Norwich RVT Warriors can finally bid farewell to their eight-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Friday. They strolled past Grasso Tech with points to spare, taking the game 64-50. Norwich RVT's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Norwich RVT's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Collin Schulze, who scored 26 points along with four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Schulze has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Connor McRae, who scored 17 points along with six assists and five rebounds.

Charis Johnson and Ryan Gemaly certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Johnson scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and five assists, while Gemaly scored 17 points. That's the first time this season that Gemaly scored 15 or more points. Kelvin Paulino-Familia was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with six rebounds.

Even though they lost, Grasso Tech were working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Norwich RVT only posted 19 assists.

Norwich RVT's win ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-5. As for Grasso Tech, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.

Norwich RVT will head out on the road to face off against Plainfield at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Grasso Tech, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Tourtellotte at 6:00 p.m. Tourtellotte is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
