Basketball Game Preview: Tahoma Bears vs. Kentwood Conquerors

The Tahoma Bears are taking a road trip to challenge the Kentwood Conquerors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Tahoma's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four contests.

Tahoma is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Auburn Riverside, posting an 84-52 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Bears have posted since January 30, 2024.

Meanwhile, Kentwood entered their match against Auburn on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Kentwood took a hard 75-57 fall against Auburn. While losing is never fun, the Conquerors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 33rd, while the Trojans are ranked fourth).

Tahoma is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 5-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.0 points per game. As for Kentwood, their loss ended a ten-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 10-4.

Tahoma took a serious blow against Kentwood in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, falling 93-66. Can Tahoma avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
