Softball Recap: Highland Fighting Scots vs. Galion Tigers
There's no place like home for Highland, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Tuesday. They had just enough and edged the Galion Tigers out 5-4. This was a revenge matchup for Highland, as the team was forced to settle for a 7-6 defeat when these two played last Tuesday.
Maddy Stuckman was excellent, going 2-for-4 with a triple, two RBI, and a run. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaymi Lewis, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and a double.
On Galion's side, Madelyn Schieber made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI.
Highland's win bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Galion, they dropped their record down to 2-8 with that loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.
Highland will be playing in front of their home fans against Marion Harding at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
