Volleyball Game Preview: Pierce Bluejays vs. O'Neill Eagles

The Pierce Bluejays will take on the O'Neill Eagles on Thursday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Tuesday, Pierce beat Wayne 2-0. The Bluejays haven't had any issues with the Blue Devils recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Pierce easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-14.

Meanwhile, O'Neill earned a 3-1 win over Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard] on Tuesday.

O'Neill had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-16, 25-22, 26-24.

Pierce's victory bumped their record up to 17-6. As for O'Neill, they now have a winning record of 11-10.

Pierce was able to grind out a solid win over O'Neill when the teams last played back in October of 2024, winning 3-1. Do the Bluejays have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
