Basketball Recap: Wolfe County Skates Past Jackson City with Ease

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Perry County Central, Wolfe County was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They blew past the Jackson City Tigers 73-43. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Wolves have posted since December 20, 2024.

Wolfe County's victory bumped their record up to 8-11. As for Jackson City, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12.

Wolfe County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 68-66 defeat against Letcher County Central on the 25th. As for Jackson City, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Jackson City Tigers take on the Breathitt County Bobcats at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Breathitt County knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Jackson City likes a good challenge.
