Basketball Recap: Prescott Sets Scoring Season-High Against Mohave

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Prescott). They blew past the Mohave Thunderbirds 109-29 on Friday. With the Badgers ahead 64-13 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Prescott's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Uriah Tenette, who shot 4-for-7 from long range and almost dropped a double-double on 28 points and nine assists. Tenette's evening made it 44 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Zane Gaul, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 21 rebounds.

Prescott smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 15 offensive rebounds in four consecutive contests.

Despite the loss, Mohave still got an impressive performance from Kingzten Bristol, who posted 12 points. That was a full 41.4% of Mohave's points, marking the fifth time in a row he's scored more than a third of the team's points.

Prescott's win was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-5. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.6 points per game. As for Mohave, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-8.

Prescott didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 77-55 victory against Coconino on the 28th. As for Mohave, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 43-38 defeat against Flagstaff on the 28th.
