Meanwhile, Columbus International was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 24th straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by Northland 73-14.

Columbus International's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Linden-McKinley, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-9.

Everything came up roses for Linden-McKinley against Columbus International in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, as the team secured a 72-37 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Linden-McKinley since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
