Basketball Recap: Johnsonville Takes a Loss

Johnsonville lost against Green Sea Floyds back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Johnsonville Flashes fell just short of the Green Sea Floyds Trojans by a score of 60-57. The Flashes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why Johnsonville lost, don't look at Takhari Ross. Despite the final result, he went 8 for 16 on his way to 18 points in addition to five assists and five steals. Ross has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Xavier Johnson, who went 6 of 7 en route to 14 points and five rebounds.

Johnsonville's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Green Sea Floyds, they pushed their record up to 6-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Johnsonville will host Lake View at 7:45 p.m. on Thursday. Johnsonville is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.2 points per game this season. As for Green Sea Floyds, they will venture away from home to challenge Hemingway at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.
