Baseball Recap: Manawa Comes Up Short

Manawa fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Weyauwega-Fremont on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They lost 11-2 to the Warhawks. The defeat leaves the Wolves still looking for their first win of the season.

Manawa's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Weyauwega-Fremont, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-3.

Coincidentally, Manawa and Weyauwega-Fremont will both be playing Wittenberg-Birnamwood the next time they take the field. The Warhawks will head out to face the Chargers at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Wolves will host them at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
