Baseball Recap: Lake Belton Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Lake Belton and McKinney North squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Lake Belton had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 2-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-1 on Thursday.

This is the second loss in a row for Lake Belton and nudges their season record down to 26-7-2. As for McKinney North, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 17-12-1 record this season.

While Lake Belton had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
