Basketball Game Preview: Loomis Wolves vs. North Central Knights

The Loomis Wolves will be taking part in a tournament against the North Central Knights at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Loomis is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak.

Loomis is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Southern Valley on Saturday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Loomis had to suffer through a 59-11 loss at the hands of Southern Valley. The Wolves were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-10.

Meanwhile, the third road game was the charm for North Central, as they earned their first road win of the season. They strolled past Gregory with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 43-29. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Knights as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

North Central's win came from a few key players Loomis will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Mya Lewis, who posted ten points in addition to seven boards and four steals. Another player making a difference was Karlene Kepler, who went 5 of 9 en route to 10 points.

Loomis' defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for North Central, they picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 3-4.
