Baseball Recap: Crescent Valley Comes Up Short

Crescent Valley dropped their record down to 4-11 on Wednesday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They came up short against the Corvallis Spartans, falling 12-5. The Raiders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Spartans apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

As for Corvallis, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-4. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games.

For Corvallis' part, Blaise Neil was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, two RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI Neil has posted since April 5th. Another player making a difference was Axel Prechel, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

While Crescent Valley had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
