Volleyball Game Preview: Patton Panthers vs. Union Academy Cardinals

The Patton Panthers will face off against the Union Academy Cardinals at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Patton is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Draughn just ended the team's seven-match winning streak on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 3-2. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last three times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Patton sadly wound up on the wrong side. The final score came out to 25-13, 20-25, 25-13, 21-25, 15-11.

Meanwhile, it's playoff time, and Union Academy had no trouble coming through when it counted. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Madison on Saturday.

Patton's defeat dropped their record down to 19-5. As for Union Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups. That somehow still isn't as good as their 19-5 record this season.
