Volleyball Recap: Hatley Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Hatley can now relate to. They came up short against the Walnut Wildcats on Monday, falling 3-0. The Tigers have struggled against the Wildcats recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-13, 25-10.

Walnut got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Preslee Robbins out in front who had ten digs and two aces. Another player making a difference was Allie Jackson, who had eight digs and two aces.

Hatley's defeat dropped their record down to 17-16. As for Walnut, they are on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 16 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 35-3-1 record this season.

Hatley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Walnut, they will challenge Lake at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
