Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Julia Nelson and Sami Hockers Lead Muskego to Victory

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Arrowhead, Muskego was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They came out on top against the Greenfield Hustlin' Hawks by a score of 2-0. The victory continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Hustlin' Hawks: they've now won five in a row.

Muskego was led to victory by Sami Hockers and Julia Nelson. Hockers had 15 assists and five digs, while Nelson had five assists. That's the most assists Hockers has posted over her last seven matchups. Elliana Sellhausen also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Muskego was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their ace total in three consecutive contests.

Muskego's win bumped their record up to 15-20. As for Greenfield, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-9.

Coincidentally, Muskego and Greenfield will both be playing Oshkosh West the next time they take the court. The Hustlin' Hawks will head out to face the Wildcats at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Warriors will play them later in the day, at 11:00 a.m.
