Lancaster Mennonite had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15.6 points) and they went ahead and made it eight on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Chester Clippers 50-48. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Blazers also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2024.

Lancaster Mennonite's win bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Chester, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-4.

Lancaster Mennonite and Chester should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings. The Blazers will square off against Pequea Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Monday with a big rank advantage (88 vs. 322). Meanwhile, Chester (ranked 168th) will meet Chichester (ranked 372nd) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
