Softball Game Preview: Southridge Raiders vs. Loogootee Lions

The Southridge Raiders will face off against the Loogootee Lions at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Southridge has given up an average of 7 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Southridge is headed into the contest having just suffered their biggest loss since May 9, 2024 on Tuesday. They came up short against Jasper, falling 11-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Raiders in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost three in a row.

Meanwhile, Loogootee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 13-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of Princeton.

Loogootee saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ashley Green, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run. Chloe Ramsey also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Southridge's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Loogootee, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.
