Softball Recap: Shannon Takes a Loss

Shannon lost against Itawamba Agricultural back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Shannon Red Raiders lost 20-1 to the Itawamba Agricultural Indians.

Shannon has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7-1 record this season. Itawamba Agricultural pushed their record up to 10-0 with the win, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Shannon will square off against Tremont at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Itawamba Agricultural, they will be taking part in a tournament against Ethel at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Itawamba Agricultural is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10 runs per game this season.
