Harker Heights had won four straight road games dating back to last season and Hudson Humble did his part to make it five on Friday. The Knights blew past the Manor Mustangs 56-0 for which the team can thank Humble, who threw for 416 yards and seven TDs while completing 82.6% of his passes. He has been hot recently, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last three times he's played.
Harker Heights' leading receiver Ryan Taylor was Humble's top target yet again, picking up 162 receiving yards and three scores. Taylor showed off some serious burst, lighting up the secondary with a catch for 50 yards.
Harker Heights' victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Manor, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Harker Heights will square off against Dripping Springs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 1,052 yards in their previous games.
