Football Recap: Lower Merion Starts Season with Win at Home

Lower Merion gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They slipped by the Upper Merion Area Vikings 21-20. That's more bragging rights for the Aces, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lower Merion will challenge Ridley at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The match will give the Aces their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Upper Merion Area, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Wissahickon at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
