Basketball Recap: Mount Pleasant Takes a Loss

After flying high against First State Military Academy last Tuesday, Mount Pleasant came back down to earth. The Mount Pleasant Green Knights were outmatched by the Concord Raiders and fell 59-21. The Green Knights lost against the Raiders in their previous head to head back in January of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 47-45 score last time.

Mount Pleasant's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Concord, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season.

When Mount Pleasant and Concord next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Mount Pleasant will square off against Delcastle Technical and their five-game winning streak at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Concord will try to stop St. Georges Tech's seven-game winning streak when the meet at 5:15 p.m. on Monday.
