Softball Recap: Bedford Comes Up Short

Bedford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 15-14 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lutheran West Longhorns. While the Bearcats didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Longhorns 6-0 in the first period.

Bedford got a massive performance out of Angelina Parrish, who scored two runs and stole four bases while going 3-for-3. Yandeliz Rosario was another key player, scoring a run and stealing five bases while going 2-for-3.

Bedford's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Lutheran West, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-3 record.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bedford will head out to face off against Kirtland at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lutheran West, they will face off against Open Door Christian at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
