Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Vasquez). Everything went their way against the Santa Clarita Christian Cardinals on Tuesday as they made off with a 27-9 win. The victory continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Cardinals: they've now won seven in a row.

The team relied heavily on Daniella Escamilla, who fired off four home runs, 12 RBI, and five runs while going 5-for-5. Those five hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Faith Nasrallah, who scored two runs while going 5-for-6.

Vasquez always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .694. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Vasquez's record is now 12-8. As for Santa Clarita Christian, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-4-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Vasquez will welcome Fillmore at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Santa Clarita Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Palmdale Academy Charter School at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Cardinals are facing the Jaguars at the right time seeing as the Jaguars are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
