Baseball Game Preview: Indy Genesis HomeSchool Indy Genesis vs. Sheridan Blackhawks

The Indy Genesis HomeSchool Indy Genesis will venture away from home to square off against the Sheridan Blackhawks at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Indy Genesis HomeSchool is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.4 runs per game this season.

Indy Genesis HomeSchool's last matchup with Indianapolis Bishop Chatard could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Monday. The Indy Genesis came up short against the Trojans, falling 7-1. The Indy Genesis haven't had much luck with the Trojans recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Sheridan and Tri-Central, and Sheridan kept the tradition alive. The Blackhawks' pitcher stepped up to hand the Trojans a 4-0 shutout on Friday.

The result came thanks to Jack Oland's shutout, as he gave up just four hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Dayne Voege, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Hall, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.

Indy Genesis HomeSchool's defeat dropped their record down to 12-9-1. As for Sheridan, their record is now 9-13.

Indy Genesis HomeSchool couldn't quite get it done against Sheridan in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 as they fell 10-5. Can the Indy Genesis avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
