Recap: Corydon Central Panthers vs. Crawford County Wolfpack
The Corydon Central Panthers had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.7 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 48-46 victory over Crawford County. That's another feather in the cap for Corydon Central, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Corydon Central to victory, but perhaps none more so than Josie Vaughn, who scored 14 points along with seven steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyssa Groover, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Corydon Central has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a massive bump to their 14-9 record this season. As for Crawford County, their loss dropped their record down to 17-6.
Corydon Central will face off against the Pirates at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Indiana (Charlestown is ranked 65th, while the Panthers are ranked 77th). As for Crawford County, they will square off against the Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully North Posey focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Thursday.
