Football Recap: Patterson Lumberjacks vs. Marksville Tigers
Patterson and Marksville squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Patterson had to settle for second. They took a blow against the Tigers, falling 48-14. The loss continues a trend for the Lumberjacks in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost three in a row.
Devin Lavalais continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Marksville, throwing for 217 yards and five touchdowns while completing 73.3% of his passes, and also rushing for 103 yards. What's more, Lavalais racked up 154.9 passer rating, the most he's had since back in October of 2024. Marksville's leading receiver Armonii Benjamin was Lavalais' top target yet again, picking up 128 receiving yards and three scores.
