Basketball Recap: North Panola Comes Up Short

North Panola was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. The game between them and the Coahoma County Red Panthers didn't end well, with the North Panola Cougars falling 60-41. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Red Panthers this season, with their most recent defeat being a 56-32 loss back in January.

Among those leading the charge was Caron Pollard, who posted 21 points. Those 21 points gave him a new career-high. Darrell Norwood was another key player, putting up 13 points.

North Panola's defeat dropped their record down to 6-17. As for Coahoma County, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 18 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 25-4 record this season.

North Panola didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 66-51 loss against Independence on the 7th. As for Coahoma County, they have also already played their next game, a 54-45 victory against Rosa Fort on the 7th.
