Game recap: Trinity Christian High School Football Team defeats Tampa Catholic

TAMPA, Fla. - Trinity Christian (Jacksonville, Fla.) extended its winning streak to six games with a 20-11 victory over Tampa Catholic (Tampa, Fla.) on Saturday.

The Crusaders pulled ahead on a Kyle Ploucher touchdown run, and subsequently went into halftime leading 11-7. The Conquerors took the lead for good with a Gage Morrell touchdown run in the third quarter.

Tampa Catholic's only touchdown came on a 1-yard run by Ploucher in the second quarter.

Trinity Christian had given up an average of 11.1 points prior to the contest. Tampa Catholic's 11 points were well below its season average of 29.2 per game.

The loss comes after Tampa Catholic defeated Melbourne Central Catholic 45-10 last week. The loss broke Tampa Catholic's two-game winning streak.
