Baseball Game Preview: Arthur-Okaw Christian Conquering Riders vs. Cornerstone Christian Cyclones

The Arthur-Okaw Christian Conquering Riders will head out to face off against the Cornerstone Christian Cyclones at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Two weeks ago, Arthur-Okaw Christian didn't have quite enough to beat Casey-Westfield and fell 7-6.

Brock Helmuth was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double. That double marked the first that he has hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kedrick Chupp, who went 1-for-2 with two runs.

Meanwhile, Cornerstone Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They lost 7-1 to St. Teresa.

Cornerstone Christian saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Thaddeus Noffsinger, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

Cornerstone Christian's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Arthur-Okaw Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-4.

Everything went Arthur-Okaw Christian's way against Cornerstone Christian when the teams last played on April 7th, as Arthur-Okaw Christian made off with a 9-1 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Conquering Riders since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
