Recap: Owatonna Huskies vs. Hastings Raiders
After flying high against the Mankato West Scarlets last Thursday, the Owatonna Huskies came back down to earth. Owatonna fell just short of Hastings by a score of 43-41.
Owatonna's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Morgan Fisher, who scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Abigial P Shornock, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds.
Owatonna now has a losing record at 9-10. As for Hastings, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 12-6.
Owatonna will head out on the road to face off against Red Wing at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Red Wing has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 22. As for Hastings, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Tartan at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Tartan focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 28 last Thursday.
