Deer River had lost 16 straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 0-6 to make it 17. They lost 18-0 to the North Woods grizzlies. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the grizzlies apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.
As for North Woods, they moved to 3-4 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. That 18 run margin sets a new team best for them this season.
