Robert Pineda Dazzles in Los Fresnos Victory
Starting off the list is Los Fresnos's Robert Pineda, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Pineda rushed for 145 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries, and also threw for 70 yards and two touchdowns. His longest rush was for an impressive 64 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

San Benito's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-7. Ruiz and San Benito will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Veterans Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on November 1st.

Calvin Trevillion's Rushing Yards a New Career-High
On Thursday, Veterans Memorial got the W thanks in part to Calvin Trevillion playing the best football he has all season. Trevillion rushed for 100 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
Veterans Memorial pushed their record up to 6-2 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. Trevillion and Veterans Memorial will face off against Los Fresnos at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
