Norwood hadn't done well against Dove Creek recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Mavericks blew past the Bulldogs 3-0. The match marked the Mavericks' most dominant victory of the season.

Norwood never let Dove Creek on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-16, 25-23.

Darcy Bray paced Norwood's offense, picking up seven kills. Bray got some help from Holli Johnson and her nine assists. Finally, Bray was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high five blocks.

The win made it two in a row for Norwood and bumps their season record up to 4-9. As for Dove Creek, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.
