Lincoln's game last Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They had just enough and edged out the Dexter Dreadnaughts 4-3. The win continues a trend for the Railsplitters in their matchups with the Dreadnaughts: they've now won five in a row.

Bria Powell spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on four hits and racked up 11 Ks.

At the plate, Alyssa Strickland was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run. Savanna Kane was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one run and one double.

Lincoln's victory bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Dexter, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7-1 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lincoln will challenge Tecumseh at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Railsplitters' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Indians have averaged an impressive 8 runs per game this season. As for Dexter, they will take on Pinckney at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
