Baseball Recap: Brady Cappel and Anderson Hudson Secure Win for Winfield

Winfield had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 12-run drubbing they dealt Bowling Green on Monday. The Warriors' pitcher stepped up to hand the Bobcats a 12-0 shutout. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Bobcats recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Winfield got a great performance from Daniel Warren as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out eight over five innings pitched.

At the plate, Winfield let Anderson Hudson and Brady Cappel run wild. Hudson got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two RBI, while Cappel scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Colin Morse, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
