Baseball Preview: Tates Creek Commodores vs. Scott County Cardinals

Tates Creek has been on the road for two straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Scott County Cardinals at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Thursday, Tates Creek needed a bit of extra time to put away Corbin. They had just enough and edged the Redhounds out 7-6.

Blake Jones looked comfortable as he pitched 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.

On the hitting side, Shawn Rowe was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.

Tates Creek's win bumped their record up to 11-13. As for Scott County, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 21-9 record this season.
