Hartford Magnet Trinity College Academy got a massive performance out of Eimy Rodriguez, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with four stolen bases, four runs, and four RBI. Those four stolen bases gave Rodriguez a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Sumalee Chanbunna, who got on base in five of her six plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and five RBI.
Meanwhile, Bulkeley hadn't done well against Parish Hill recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Bulldogs narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Pirates 14-13.
Naya Sanchez was excellent, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. Aaliyah Rodriguez also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
